Key People

Skagit comprises some forty employees, including six key people (below), each of whom has been with the company for at least fifteen years, and has decades of construction industry experience.
Alison L. Wells - President / C.F.O.
 
Over 20 years in the millwork business. Handles all of Skagit Architectural Millwork financial dealings and banking obligations, and management of 401K & profit-sharing programs.
Craig V. Wells - Vice President
 
Over 30 years in the millwork business. Owned and operated Wells Construction, Inc., from 1971 thru 1982. Built homes and condominiums and participated in light commercial projects during that time. Bought Skagit Architectural Millwork in 1982. Has participated in hundreds of millwork projects of various complexities over the years.
Paul E. Hardy - Business Manager
 
26 years business management experience, including roles as Operations Manager, General Manager and as a Management Consultant. Paul has consulted to numerous companies in the construction industry with a focus on Financial Management, Process Improvement and Organizational Development.
Pete Schmidt - Shop Foreman
 
Over 10 years custom cabinet work, including 7 years at Skagit Architectural. Pete started with Skagit Architectural Millwork as a journeyman craftsman, then was promoted in 2002 to Shop Foreman. Pete is a accomplished craftsman in all aspects of millwork projects.
Dave G. Wells - Chief Estimator
 
Over 27 years experience in construction industry, 16 years with Skagit Architectural Millwork. Started as Field Foreman in 1982, promoted to Chief Estimator in February of 1993. Has extensive experience in all phases of construction.
Dale A. Huggins - Senior Draftsman
 
Over 28 years experience in construction industry, 12 years with Skagit Architectural Millwork. Hired as Journeyman Craftsman in January of 1986. Promoted to Senior Draftsman in November of 1987. Extremely detail oriented and competent in all areas of architectural millwork.
